GP Earnings

With effect from 1 April 2015 it is a requirement for GP practices to publish the mean net earnings of the GP in their practice.

All GP practices are required to declare the mean earnings (e.g. average pay) for GPs working to deliver NHS services to patients at each practice.

The average pay for GPs working at Cartmel Surgery (Drs Colclough & Stearn) in the last financial year (2020/21) was £39595.50 before tax and National Insurance. This is for 3 GP partners who worked in the practice more than 6 months.
