Welcome to Cartmel Surgery

We aim to provide timely and quality care with openness and compassion so that we can work with you to maintain and improve your health.

We are a rural dispensing practice that also provides training for doctors, and our Practice team is able to offer a wide range of services.  We hope our website will inform you about these as well as other useful information.

We are keen to continuously develop the Practice and the services we provide and we would welcome your feedback.

iwantgreatcare certificate of excellence

We are delighted to be one of the very first Practices to receive this powerful endorsement of the way in which we deliver care to all of our patients.

Are you waiting for a hospital appointment or needing it expedited or received a letter you want to query?

You can now contact the hospital directly and do not need your GP to do this for you.

You can ring 01539 716998 (option 2)

or email

Disabled Access

We have wheelchair access and toilet facilities for patients at the surgery.

Named GP for all Patients

As part of the changes to the GP Contract 2015-16, all patients are required to have a named, accountable GP assigned to them. Your accountable GP is Dr Julie Colclough. Please contact the Surgery if you have any queries regarding this.
