The CQC make sure health and social care services provide people with safe, effective, compassionate, high-quality care and encourage them to improve.

They monitor, inspect and regulate services to make sure they meet fundamental standards of quality and safety and publish what is found, including performance ratings to help people choose care.

Cartmel Surgery was inspected on TUESDAY 19th APRIL the report is now freely available on the CQC Website and from the link below:

 CQC Report 2016

We are delighted to have been awarded the rating of OUTSTANDING.

The latest figures show that just under 4% of all practices inspected so far in England (169 out of nearly 4400!) have been rated outstanding.

Thank you all the staff for their hard work and you the patients for the fantastic feedback we received.

"Patients said they were truly respected and valued as individuals and were empowered as partners in their care. Patient satisfaction with their care was much higher than local and national averages. For example, in the National GP Patient Survey 97% of patients said the last GP they saw was good at involving them in decisions about their care, compared to the national average of 82%."
